 Fat Trout Lookit', Lookit This One!  Absolutely Ticked That Dad Wouldn't Let Him Cut                                                                             All Better    I went out fishing int the rain last weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to get a few trout. I tried to cross to the main channel but the water was too deep. I ended up fishing just at the pit and ended up with 6. The weather was horrible, 33 degrees and raining, but being able to get some nice fish made up for it. Trapping starts this Friday, and I'm chomping at the bit. Fur prices are at 30 year highs and looking to stay strong.

Clearly mother nature had other plans. The weather here has been brutal lately. Raining almost nonstop. We were ice skating 2 weeks ago. I even ice fished on the river a couple of weeks ago. Now there is open water everywhere.  I made it out fishing on Saturday for a few hours. No trout, just a couple moldy salmon. Trapping season is right around the corner. I'm hoping the ice is good by then.
